Mon. Aug 19 7pm Regular Meeting in the parish hall has already taken place. We have a need for help at the officers level, Brain Teipen, our new Warden is leaving, moving on to new things and we also need one man to coordinate our Oktoberfest Dinner tentatively scheduled for sometime in October . We have a basic job list and shopping list started and we may have to move this activity over to next year as we have a lot on our plate already.
The most important date to remember is Saturday Sept. 11, we will be hosting First, Second, and Third Degree Exemplifications at Our Lady of the Mountain from 9am till 3pm or so. More about this below.
Mon. August 23- Officers Meeting is happening - at 6:30pm at Dennis Melleckers house.. It is important that as many of our officers attend as is possible. We will be planning the Exemplifications on Sept. 11 and looking at out our activities for our new Columbian year.
ATTENTION ALL KNIGHTS: Please contact your perspective new Knights members and get their 101 filled out and signed and turned into the GK (Dennis) or FS ( Mike S.) The Exemplification is scheduled for Sat. Sept 11, that’s 9/11 so it’s easy to remember. It will start at 9am for our first degree’s and the 2nd & 3rd‘s will start after lunch, around 1pm or so. It is extremely important that we move quickly on this, we only found out about this a few days ago and it is only a few weeks away so we will all have to pull together to get this done. We will be hosting the lunch also but more on this later. Our council is in immediate need to add 6 new Knights, so please call your new guys and see if they are able to make it on Saturday, 9/11. There will not be another first degree coupled with the 2nd and 3rd degree’s in this area for quite a long time so let us please take advantage of this opportunity.
Also, all of the officers need to get their 3rd Degree Exemplification in order to properly carry out their official duties.
Please call Dennis or Tom S. if you have names of men and are unable to meet with them.
Thank you for your immediate attention, if we pull together we will get this done!!!

Sun. Sept. 19 - Parish Breakfast- after the 8 & 9:30 Masses, and possibly the 11:30 mass if we can get a group to do the Huevos Rancheros breakfast. Our breakfast’s have been a huge success and a great way to get the new men activated and welcomed into our council. So talk it up and hope to see you there!. Thanks again to all Brother Knights who help out with this activity. We are kicking around the idea of getting KofC shirts to wear, just any kind of a pollo shirt and we can send away for KofC patches that we can sew on the pocket. More on this later.
Sun. Sept 26 Mass Schedule changes. We go back to the 9:30am , 11:30 and 5pm evening mass and Parish Dinners. The parish needs to decide if there will be dinners every Sunday night or every 1st and 3rd or 2nd and 4th Sundays. Father Joseph will talk at the 3 masses about this on Sept 5.
We agreed to do 2or 3 dinners during the year. More on this later.
Brothers, Keep brother Bruce Strauman and all those struggling with illness, Brother Brian Moyer and all our Caldenian Brothers and Sisters being persecuted in Bagdad in your constant prayers. Anyone who has access to rosaries, we are going to send as many as we can ASAP to Brian in Bagdad. Contact Dennis about this.
